Petfinder.com has created a fun, free and interactive holiday game called PET ROCKER that allows players to pick a virtual pet to play solo over background music of holiday classics like Deck the Halls, Silent Night or Jingle Bells.

Available pet rockers include a bass-playing duck, a bell-ringing dog, a drum-rocking rabbit, a guitar-strumming pig, a piano-playing keyboard cat or a groupie-like turtle who provides encouragement.   Fun for the whole family, the game provides the perfect diversion or procrastination for anyone trying to survive the stress of the holiday season.

Description: Want to have your dogs picture taken with Santa but don’t want to hassle with going to those dog stores? Come to Pet Paradise on Saturday December 12, 2009 from 11-3. Santa will be there. So come and join all of us for a doggone good time.  Proceeds to benefit GDRST.

GDRST 2nd Annual Howliday Party

Description: Come out and enjoy an evening of fun with your furkids.  We will have food, drinks, music, and we will also be doing a Secret Santa exchange.  There will also be a raffle for gift baskets and we will be offering microchipping.  It is sure to be a memorable evening with friends both human and dog.  All proceeds go to support the Great Danes in the GDRST program.

Secret Santa Details: This is optional.  If you would like to participate, please bring a gift for a dog of the same gender as the one that you own.  For example, if you bring a male and a female dog to the party, you will bring a gift for a “girl” dog and a gift for a “boy” dog.  When you arrive at the party you will place your gift on the designated “girl” or “boy” table and receive a game card with a number.  The exchange begins at 7:00 pm.  You must be present to participate.

Raffle Details: We will have at least 5 gift baskets to raffle off at this event.  Tickets are 1 for $3 or 2 for $5.  It’s a GREAT deal on some fantastic items.  Tickets can be purchased at the event.
