2nd Annual Camp Bow Wow’s Cupids & Canine’s Adopt-A-Thon!

Location: 300 Anders Lane, Kemah, TX 77565

Date: 02/13/2010

Time: 12 pm – 4 pm

Description: There will be treats for both people and pups and fun for the whole family.  There will be pet related vendors including pet sitters, trainers, groomers and veterinarians attending as well.  Camp Bow Wow will be offering special discounts the day of the event, and all pups adopted from the Cupids and Canines event will receive a certificate for a FREE daycare package.  The event is free to the public.  However, donations of new or lightly used leashes and collars, food/water bowls, and pet food will be collected at the door. All donations will go to the League City Animal Shelter. Monetary donations and will be accepted as well.

GDRST is collecting my coke reward codes to help the rescue purchase silent auction items.  This is a simple and easy way to help out the rescue.  Any participating coke product will have a 12 digit code on the caps, and inside the boxes.  You can help out by emailing those 12 digit codes to heather@saveadane.org. Once we get enough points then GDRST can purchase items to be sold as raffles or silent auction which in turns give GDRST money to help out each and every Great Dane we save.

9th Annual Alvin ISD Education Foundation Turtle Race

Location: Tom Blakeney Hike & Bike Trail Bridge
Trail begins at the Alvin Depot at 119 E Willis, Alvin, TX 77511.  The race will begin at the Trail Bridge and end at Adoue St.

Time: 11 am – 1 pm

Description: GDRST will have a booth at this event as well as some of the dogs in our program.  Come on out and enjoy this fun family event with us.

Mardi Gras at Pet Paradise

Location: Pet Paradise Resort Hobby, 7511 Monroe Rd, Houston, TX 77061

Date: 02/06/10

Time: 1 pm – 3 pm

Description: Bring your pet and enjoy doggy biscuit decorating, a Mardi Gras pet photo session and tours! A “king and queen” will be crowned so be sure your pet is in their Mardi Gras/Carnaval best dress! We will also have beverages and cookies, so make sure to bring a friend!
