Must Have Water!!
Water, Water, Water!!!! The heat and humidity are upon us! Make sure that your dog gets plenty of fresh water daily. With it being so hot, dogs are going to need to have a greater amount of water available to them.
The All Star $100,000 Shelter Giveaway
Sunday, May 23rd, 2010It’s that time again!!!! The Animal Rescue Site is having their $100,000 Shelter Challenge. They give weekly grants to the shelters/rescues with the most votes as well as a large grant for the shelter with the most votes at the end of the contest.
Here’s what you can do to help GDRST:
1. Follow the link www.theanimalrescuesite.com
2. Click the purple button that says “Click here to give”
3. At the top of the next page click “vote now”
4. Type in “Great Dane Rescue of Southeast Texas” & submit
5. You will be asked to validate your vote by typing in the name of the animal corresponding to the picture given & that’s it!!
It takes less than a minute!! Vote everyday until the end of the contest which is August 22, 2010 and be sure to tell all your friends and family.

Bark in the Park

Description: Come join GDRST on Memorial Weekend at Bark in the Park. There are activities and competitions: Dock Dogs, Pooch Pageant, Skyhoundz Disc Competition, Hot Dog Eating Contest, Doggie Dash, Canine Condo Contest, Vendor Hunt, Blessing of the Dogs, Flyball Demonstration, K9 Demonstration, Meet the Breeds, Vendors and lots of dog gone fun! Enter any or all of the Pooch pageant categories: Pooch Smooch, Patriotic Pooch, Tallest, Smallest, Dog Look Alike, Best Pet Trick, and Best Costume.
This is an event with something for the whole family. Be sure to stop by our booth and meet some of our dogs.

Pet Adoption Day
