Allison got interested in rescue after receiving her first Dane, Lily, in 2008.  Because of her, Allison met other Dane owners and became aware of the need for a Great Dane Rescue in the Houston area.  Together, Allison and her husband have three dogs, two of which are Great Danes.  In addition to their own dogs, they foster for the rescue as well and have a real heart towards caring for the “special needs” cases.  Her favorite part of rescue is “seeing a shelter Dane come from being emaciated to a full blooming Dane again.”

Allison is a Marine Biologist and currently works at a local Aquarium.  In her “off” time she likes to scuba dive, read and volunteer for the Houston Zoo.  She hopes to one day either work full time at the Zoo or open her own Dog Bakery.
