Heather has always had a love for Great Danes and owned her first in 2001.  However, it wasn’t until 2008, that she met fellow Dane owners who also had a passion & love for the breed.  Due to this new network, she became aware of the need for Great Dane rescue and wanted to help anyway she could.  Like many of her fellow rescuers, her favorite part of the rescue is watching the transformation of the sick &/or abused dogs into wonderful, loving, playful companions.

Heather is a stay at home mom who is enjoying the time with her children.  She and her husband have three Great Danes and a Chiweenie.  In addition to fostering for the rescue, they also manage and maintain the GDRST website.
