Zoey
We recently received an update from Patricia who had adopted Zoey from us last year. Here is what she had to say:
“I was fortunate enough to adopt an amazing Dane named Zoey. I’ve been a dog owner all my life but she is, by far, the best I’ve ever had. I hate calling her a dog, because to me, she’s my child. She has adapted to me like we’ve been together all our lives and she’s adapted to our house like she was born in it. I couldn’t be happier with my Zoe! She is so incredibly intelligent, and although I would love to be able to take credit for her good manners, I can’t. I was lucky enough that she came to me that way. I get stopped daily when I walk her. I’ve had people go through the neighborhood to come back around just so they can get out of their cars and pet her. I find it hilarious and Zoey loves the attention. Every time something like that happens, it makes me feel so grateful that she’s mine and I’m hers. We are best friends and just like she knows she can count on me, I know I can count on her. Thank you to Sharon (her foster mom), Stacey and GDRST. Zoey and I are two peas in a pod!”
It always makes our hearts warm to hear how the dogs that we have known and loved are doing. Thanks Patricia for your update!

The most frequent causes of canine skin allergies are environmental particles – pollen, mold spores, dust and dust mites – with food ingredients ranking second. Parasitic allergies are not as common due to the new flea preventative medications.
