Cost of Rescue

Here is a breakdown of what it costs GDRST to medically rehabilitate each dog that comes into our program. Even at a glance it is obvious that the adoption fees of the Danes do not cover the full cost of treatment. This is why we rely so heavily on donations.

Basic Care:

Bordatella	$15 – $30
Heartworm Test	$30 – $48
Monthly Heartworm Dose	$8
Flea Prevention/Treatment	$9 – $25
Dewormer	$9 – $15 (per dose)
Spay/Neuter	$200 – $400

Basic Care $347 – $676* Per Dog
*The above listed costs do not include
the cost of grooming, training, behavior assessments,
and food while the dog is in foster care,
nor any other “basics” (i.e. collar, leash, toys, etc.).
