Save A Dane

Our Mission

We rescue abandoned, sick, injured, and abused Great Danes from shelters and streets, find loving and permanent homes for them, and educate the public about the breed. As a group, we provide medical attention and foster care while seeking permanent homes for these Danes. We promote education of adoption and spaying/neutering.

Each rescue Great Dane will be spayed or neutered and up to date on their shots. We will begin to teach them basic behaviors such as sit, lay down and how to walk on a leash but they will need continued training throughout their life. The real training most of the Danes need is to learn how to be loved again. Many rescues have been abused and neglected. Time, patience, and love are all these Danes need.

Great Dane Rescue of Southeast Texas is funded by donations, adoption fees, and fund-raising which go directly towards the care of our rescued Great Danes.
