It is with a heavy heart that we report that Scooby, owned by Judy Jones (co-founder of GDRST) has lost his battle with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer). Scooby was greatly loved by all of us here at GDRST and because of that we want to share with you some of the amazing things that Scooby did during his life with Judy.
Scooby, himself, was a rescue and found his forever home with Judy. They passed the Delta Animal Assisted Therapy Certification test and made lots of visits over the years to those that would benefit most from seeing/petting/spending time with Scooby. He also served as the “Pergo” dog at flooring trade shows as well as an ambassador for the Great Dane breed at the Reliant World Series of Dog Show’s Meet the Breed event. In his spare time, Scooby taught the endless number of foster dogs that stayed at his house “the ropes” in preparing for their forever homes.
But his biggest legacy is the love that he had for Judy.
