We can only help/save as many dogs as we have foster homes for. We at GDRST are always in need of loving people/families willing to open up their homes to a dog in need. We do not have a shelter that we keep the dogs in. They are placed into foster homes. By having the dogs in a home environment it makes it easier to get to know the dogs personality, helps them recover from medical issues/surgery faster, and makes the transition into their “forever home” easier. If you are interested in learning more about fostering, please visit our Foster Information page.

Hi Duane,
Thank you for contacting GDRST and adopting to save a life. The process begins by completing an online application (https://saveadane.org/adoption/adoption-process/). Upon receipt of your application, we will verify your information about your current pets with your veterinarian. We will then proceed to schedule a home evaluation where we can evaluate your home, current pets, and family to start the matching process to see which great danes that we have in our program would be a good match for your family.
